Mecca for diving

Situated in Huvadhoo, the largest and deepest atoll in the Maldives, Hadahaa offers the best snorkeling house reef in the Maldives. There is a great range of diving topography as well as abundance and diversity of the marine life.

The five-star PADI dive centre is likely to be the key attraction for many guests. An easily accessible coral reef is no more than 50 m from the shore. With unspoiled reef surrounding Hadahaa, the island is a great place for both experienced divers and beginners.

Design and villas

Like Hadahaa’s location, the resort’s architecture is out of the ordinary—successfully combining a contemporary look with local, Maldivian style.

Designed by the award-winning SCDA Architects, the hotel has been perfectly formed to reflect a sense of space and to minimize the environmental footprint of the resort.

Minimalistic with rustic touches, the interiors utilize timber and stone and the high, angled timber roofs keep them cool. This ecologically sensitive resort was the first in Maldives to receive the Green Globe environmental benchmarking certificate.

There are 14 Aqua Villas and 36 Island Villas, 20 of which come with a private pool. The highlights of the over-water Aqua Villas are floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views out to sea, as well as spacious sundecks with direct Indian Ocean access. The Island Villas are shaded by native vegetation and have walled gardens with outdoor bathroom and sundecks.

Something for the body

Park Hyatt Hadahaa offers a refreshing dining experience of the highest international standard. Breakfast and lunch are served in the open-air Relish restaurant, while fine dinners can be had at Battuta’s Restaurant.

The privacy and tranquillity of the award-winning Vidhun Spa offers guests the ultimate in holistic treatments. There is also a gym, yoga pavilions, two fresh water pools, a library, CD/DVD library, boutique.

The Park Hyatt Hadahaa concentrates on luxury and relaxation, but the resort also offers the ultimate Maldivian experience of turquoise waters, fine white beaches and one of the most abundant and healthiest house reefs.

What you should know

• Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is located some 400 kilometres south of Malé—so getting to this island resort is the hard part: transfer time between the airport and the resort is about 1 hour 15 minutes by plane to nearby Kaadedhdhoo Airport, followed by 1 hour speed boat ride to resort!
