Dreams Luxury Suites, Santorini

Composed of only four suites and three villas, and located on one of the highest points on Santori, with truly spectacular sea views towards the caldera, Dreams Luxury Suites is small, exclusive, and stands away from the crowds.

Dreams Luxury Suites in Santorini has no restaurant, traditional lobby, bar, or main pool. But this setup allows the staff to dedicate themselves to serving the guests in their apartments, with a personalized approach.

Romance at Dreams Luxury Suites

Dreams Luxury Suites provides a lot of opportunities for romantic moments. The caldera view from all suites is simply one of a kind, providing a stunning backdrop to vacationing by private plunge pools.

But the hotel excels in small details that can make the stay extra special—such as rose petals strewn on the bed, fresh-cut flowers, champagne breakfasts, candles lit on the terrace at night, or a bottle of local wine and fruit basket on arrival.

Santorini Design

The design of the suites renders itself to the mood of romance. The white walls of Dreams Luxury Suites curve and bend around corners and ceilings, giving the interiors an appearance of natural cave formations, and resembling a traditional Santorini housing.

Each apartment is infused with a bespoke color palette and style. Orfeas is dominated by yellow accent color, the Nefeli by blue, and Armonia’s charming wooden shutters are green. Foivos has two bedrooms and bathrooms and the largest swimming pool—ideal for groups of friends or families with older children. For the top accommodation, pick one of the three villas (including one in Fira, a different location from the main hotel).

Cuisine

The exceptionally rich, delicious breakfasts are served in the room, or on a private terrace outside, overlooking the caldera. A wide selection of Greek delicacies, eggs, coffee, and freshly squeezed juice is accompanied either by champagne or the delicious—our favorite—Santorinian Vinsanto (local wine).

Light lunches are also served in the room, but there are many restaurants close to the hotel, thanks to its convenient location on the outskirts of the beautifully situated village of Imerovigli. Fira, the bustling capital of the island, is a twenty-minute stroll away.

Dreams Luxury Suites is small and romantic, elegant and exclusive, its understated suites offer intimacy, privacy, and tranquillity. It’s an ideal place for a romantic getaway or honeymoon.

What we love

• Great location and fantastic sea views. Unlike many other hotels situated on the rim of the caldera, Dreams stands way away from noise and crowds and yet close enough to the restaurants in Imerovigli
• Isolated and with only a few suites—among which our favorite was the two-level Armonia suite—the hotel feels exclusive, and with a real sense of privacy.
• In addition to the suites, the hotel offers three villas, with one (Opera Mansion Dream Villa) in a different location in Fira.
• The hotel does not have many stairs, which is rare in a cliff-side hotel on Santorini
• Discreet and friendly staff, who never fail to give the best sightseeing tips or recommend a restaurant
• Magical atmosphere, especially at sunset

What you should know

• Apartment Nefeli has a large Jacuzzi instead of a plunge pool, and due to the location (next to the sidewalk), this room is the least private
• Other suites have private pools, but they are too small to swim. They are great for cooling in hot weather though
• Families with young children cannot stay at Dreams for safety reasons (the property is perched high on a cliff)
