Andronis Minois, Paros

Paros doesn’t try to impress. While Santorini leans hard into its caldera views and Mykonos plays up the scene, this island just gets on with it — whitewashed villages, clear water, and a slower rhythm that feels increasingly rare in the Cyclades. Andronis Minois fits that mood perfectly.

We liked it straight away. Andronis Minois, located just above the sea near Parasporos, has that clean, contemporary take on Cycladic style without trying too hard. Pale walls, simple lines, and terraces that actually deliver on the sea views. It feels calm and put-together rather than flashy.

The pool is the center of the place. It’s not huge, but it works well as the main social spot, and it never feels crowded. It’s easy to spend most of your days here moving between the sunbeds and the water, with the Aegean always in the background.

Our suite was a balcony sea-view room, and it was easily the best part of the stay. Spacious and bright, it was a great spot for drinks at sunset. It felt private without being isolated, and the renovation shows in the finishes — everything felt fresh and comfortable.

Dining at Olvo was consistently good. The terrace has lovely sea views, and the modern Mediterranean cooking makes the most of local ingredients. We especially liked the lighter, herb-driven dishes and the seafood. Breakfast on the same terrace was generous and relaxed — a proper Greek spread with good coffee. Service throughout was warm and low-key; the kind where staff remembers what you like without making a big deal of it.

We had treatments at the Aura Spa — just 30-minute massages each — and they were genuinely excellent. We both drifted off within minutes. It was one of those rare spa experiences that actually left us feeling properly reset rather than just polished.

Paros works best when you don’t feel the need to tick things off. From here, Parikia is only about ten minutes away by car or shuttle, and we headed in a couple of evenings for dinner by the water and a wander around the old kastro. It’s a handy base if you want to explore a bit, but it also works brilliantly as a place to do very little.

Andronis Minois captures what Paros does well: beauty without the performance, and comfort without excess. It’s a thoughtful, well-run boutique hotel that feels right for the island.

What we love

• The balcony sea-view suites. Ours was spacious, bright, and the perfect spot for sunset drinks with the Aegean in front of us.
• Olvo’s terrace dining — consistently good modern Mediterranean cooking with strong local ingredients. We particularly enjoyed the lighter, herb-driven dishes and the seafood. Breakfast was generous and relaxed.
• The central pool area. It became the natural rhythm of our days and never felt overcrowded.
• The 2023 renovation. Everything feels fresh while still keeping that easy, unpretentious island atmosphere.
• Warm, low-key service. The staff was friendly and remembered preferences without any fuss.
• The 30-minute massages at Aura Spa. We both drifted off and came away feeling properly reset — a real highlight. 

What you should know

• Room categories make a real difference here. Balcony sea-view rooms are lovely and deliver on the views, but if you want more privacy and your own plunge pool, you’ll need to book one of the private-pool suites. 
• This is a quiet, low-key hotel. If you’re after constant activity or a social scene, it might feel too still. For us, that stillness was one of its biggest strengths.
• It’s not right on the beach (roughly 200 meters to Parasporos), but the walk is easy, and the location works well for both relaxing and getting around the island.
• Expect premium pricing, particularly for the better suites in peak season. We felt it was justified by the space, design, and service, but it’s worth knowing upfront.
