Classic Cyclades

Responsible for the visual side of this classic Santorini hotel is Richard Lefebvre of Bleu Nature studio, who created a successful fusion of comfortable luxury and traditional Cycladic style. All architectural elements here are perfectly aligned with the landscape and the spirit of the island.

The designer set the old and the new in sublime harmony. Using local limestone, hand-carved driftwood and glass from Santorini, as well as the colors: beige, white and pale blue, he created organic shapes of buildings and interiors, seemingly sculpted out of the ancient rocks of the island.

Guest rooms

Mystique Santorini has forty suites and villas, in seven categories. Some suites come with terraces and large windows, some with spacious living areas and outdoor jacuzzis, and the Spiritual Allure suites even have small fitness rooms.

Many are more cozy than spacious, but all are very comfortable and are furnished with ingenuity. The designer brought in lamps carved in pieces of wood, pebble-like coffee tables, pillows embroidered with traditional floral motifs to create a highly personal décor.

Charisma and Secret Cave

Breakfast is à la carte and is served on a terrace, with a menu of hot dishes and a selection of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurts, and pastries.

A nod to the island’s past is the 150-year-old wine cellar (Secret Wine Cave), where guests can come for wine tasting. At the Charisma restaurant guests are served sophisticated dishes with fresh local ingredients.

The Aura Bar by the infinity pool is a perfect place to enjoy the famous Santorini sunsets.

In a place as beautiful as Santorini, it takes a skillfully applied language of architecture and modern design to highlight the beauty of the island without trying to upstage it. The boutique hotel Mystique Santorini does just that.

What we love

• Quiet location and atmosphere of carefree luxury. It's a great destination for honeymoons and romantic escapes
• Beautiful views if the amazing Santorini caldera, and towards Fira
• Mystique is located far from tourist tracks and is one of the most private and secluded places in Oia
• The big advantage of the place is the location on the slope of the cliff. The rocks, paths, and stairs separate the apartments and create a more private experience than most of the other Santorini hotels
• Book a two-bed Mystery villa, for best privacy and views. This villa comes with a gym and a beautiful infinity pool
• Don't miss wine tasting events in the very cool wine cave. It can be also used as a dinner venue

What you should know

• There are lots of stairs (especially for the guests checked in to the lower rooms), but this is a general problem of many hotels in Santorini
• For safety reasons, families with children under the age of 14 cannot book a place at Mystique
• Mystique Hotel is open seasonally April 15th through October 31st.
• Bathrooms have a limited amount of shelf space and some rooms lack electrical sockets
• Only four villas have plunge pools. The water can be heated on request
• Breakfast can be served in-room at an extra cost
